Before you go

There are a few simple things you can do to make sure your Caribbean holiday is perfect. Planning and preparation are key here, but remember to leave time for spontaneity.

Things to buy:

1. Your accommodation
2. The flight
3. Luggage
4. Travel insurance
5. A guide book such as the “Rough guide to the Dominican Republic”.
6. Sun screen

Preparations at home:

1. Securing your home
2. Boarding for your pets
3. A house sitter
4. Vaccinations
5. Sufficient supply of any prescription medication

Packing list:

1. Passports
2. Proof of vaccinations
3. Copy of insurance certificate
4. Mosquito repellent
5. Snorkeling / water sport gear
6. A doctors note / copy prescription for any medication you are taking along.
7. Money. We would suggest taking a combination of US$ and Dominican Republic Pesos. (You will also need $20 per person entry tax and $20 per person exit tax)

And don’t forget your beach wear and evening wear… :)
